A Zoroastrian Day in Birmingham
A symposium providing a comparative perspective between Zoroastrianism and Hinduism.
Saturday 3rd July 2010, 10:00 - 16:00
At the Banqueting Suite of Birmingham City Council House,
Victoria Square, Birmingham B1 1BB
I am delighted to announce a keynote event hosted by the Birmingham Council of Faiths and Birmingham City Council.
The event is titled “A Zoroastrian Day in Birmingham” which is a day long symposium providing a comparative perspective between Zoroastrianism and Hinduism.
We are honoured to have the Deputy Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress of Birmingham grace this occasion.
The day provides the exceptional opportunity to listen to our keynote speakers (Dr. Almut Hintze and Dr. Shaunaka Rishi Das) and encourages your active participation.
The day includes lunch together with a tour of the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery.
I am passionate that this event will be represented by at least two BCF members of each faith. Therefore to encourage attendance the BCF are providing two free places for each faith. These places will be allocated on a first come first serve basis. Alternatively in the event that the free BCF member bursaries are already allocated or for non-BCF there is a attendance charge of £10 waged and £7 unwaged. To secure your place then please contact me directly at suratiaj@uk.ibm.com or call me on 0121 777 6059.
This is a wonderful and rare instance for learning and exchanging ideas with academics, Civic representatives and members of our faith communities.
I dearly dearly hope that see you at the “Zoroastrian Day in Birmingham”
